Newport's climate is mild year-round. Seasonal temperatures average in the 40's - 50's in the winter and 60's - 70's in the summer. Summers are generally sunny and dry but afternoons may become windy and foggy as the  temperature in the Willamette Valley rises. Although winters are mild in temperature, Newport experiences a number of stormy days during this season. Many people enjoy storm watching from their room. |
